“Ours is a small community, a small parish, but in that way it is identical to the Church as it is described in the New Testament in the immediate days and years following the death and resurrection of our Lord. That Church was also a very small community which, in spite of its size, showed forth to the world the whole length and breadth and height of the Kingdom of God. Our little community, like that one, is a joyous, forward-looking community, fulfilling the same vocation, the vocation of the apostolic call to proclaim the gospel to the world by word and deed.
May we at St. Stephen’s continue to heed that call.”
